with four world premieres by Pouria Eghdami, Konstantin Heuer, Deok-Vin Lee and Chanhee Lim<\/strong>
January_29_2025_8pm Alte Feuerwache, Halle (Melchiorstra\u00dfe 3, 50670 Cologne)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The theme of the project is \u201cMeaning of Metaphors\u201d and explores how sound and music can create human connections as universal metaphors. It emphasizes that despite our differences, which perhaps shape the ideology of our time, we communicate and become aware of their meaning through metaphors.

To illustrate this, post- and transhumanist aspects of today's technologies are integrated into a suitable creative aesthetic and technical aesthetic. The result is a unique interplay between sophisticated electronics, specific feedback sounds, vibrations that make the skin tremble and real-time interactions without traditional notation. This experimental approach opens up new ways for the audience to not only listen to music, but to experience it physically, sensually, emotionally and on a subconscious level.

The concert project brings together four young composers from different cultural backgrounds who work together with the ensemble hand werk in Cologne. This diversity of perspectives enriches the project and underlines the universality of the music. Music thus becomes a living metaphor that shows and proves: \u201cyou, me and we are no different.\u201d

An evening that shows how music can transcend the boundaries of difference and emphasize what we have in common.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accessibility<\/strong>
Means of transport\/path to the venue accessible for wheelchair users. The courtyard is currently being renovated, but the path can be used. Only part of the venue itself is accessible for wheelchair users. There is a barrier-free toilet in the foyer (stage).
