In this collaborative concert with musicians from the world of improvised music, we welcome the duo Nina Garcia (electric guitar) and Camille Émaille (drums). Percussive guitar, feedback percussion: together, the two French women create music that is concise, engaging, and profound, all improvised.
hand werk contrasts these improvisations with three different styles of notated music: Vladimir Guicheff Bogacz's work consists of three movements and (almost) three repetitions of the same thing: “Tre pezzi sullo stesso ritmo.” Steffen Krebber's work fills the ears with vivid impressions of a jungle biotope, while Katherine Balch offers microscopic insights into childlike playfulness.
