hand werk leaves the traditional concert hall and offers a musical tête-à-tête: one musician performs a work for only one listener at a time. Sophia Spies stages the musicians and Cathy van Eck contributes a sound installation. Everyone meets to listen, talk and be together in the Alte Feuerwache Cologne. Crowdfunding project

We are looking for support for the hybrid launch performance of the art project “mapping-the-studio64bit” by Boaz Kaizman with hand werk.
As a thank you, we are giving away an original hand werk ringtone, merchandise, a personal meet&greet and much more!
The premiere of Kaizman's “Usability” will take place on August 29th at the Finder TV studio in Cologne, including a debate and after-party, and will be broadcast live.

The maze of Stiftung Insel Hombroich is the largest walk-in sculpture by Erwin Heerich. After more than three years of restaurations, it has been energetically renovated and presented in new beauty since the end of June. hand werk will be presenting contemporary music in a concert installation twice and is looking forward to your visits to the museum!

_hand werk in Korea and Japan

On November 1st and 2nd, hand werk will be guest at the Jeju International Contemporary Music Festival on Jeju Island in South Korea. Afterwards, we will continue our travel to Japan: on November 5, we will play in Tokyo, invited by the Cabinet of Curiosities.

Klangwerkstatt Berlin

hand werk performs for the first time at the Berlin festival and presents FRISCH.
The program includes compositions from our repertoire by Peter Edwards, Carola Baukcholt, Masahiro Miwa, Niklas Seidl, Mariel Terán and Mert Morali, which reflect the ensemble's aesthetic standards and attention to detail. We are particularly pleased to be able to perform the world premiere of Michael Maierhofs „specific objects“.
