In the concert format GUTE MUSIK , the music speaks for itself: hand werk programs particularly good pieces of contemporary chamber music. The title, which is to be understood quite polemically, stands for the endeavor to depict the unique diversity of contemporary music.
In this concert, listeners can expect works featuring industrial sound aesthetics, homemade string instruments, dancing bees, and birds singing in spectral tones, among other things.
With the seventh edition of GUTE MUSIK, we are kicking off a fantastic concert year in 2026.
With music by Elena Rykova (GP), Tamon Yashima (WP), Liza Lim, Tristan Murail and Malin Bång.

Folkwang Universität der Künste
In January 2026, four composers will come from Turkey to Germany. They will present their new works in workshops and a concert with us at Folkwang University of the Arts which we rehearsed and premiered in October 2025.
The Next Generation Series-VI is a collaborative project between hand werk and init-i2: Association for New Music and Contemporary Art, based in İzmir, Turkey as well as Folkwang University of Arts, Essen.
With music by Ceren Ünver, Azra Kaya, Emir Ekberzade and Kaan Selcuk.
